Hendersonville is a lake town — built along twenty-six miles of Old Hickory Lake shoreline, the most of any city on it. The luxury splits between the waterfront, where estates run down to private docks, and the inland communities like Durham Farms and Pennington Farms, where new construction sits on generous lots. Light TN is a landscape lighting designer based in Burns, and we design outdoor lighting in Hendersonville for the lot it sits on — at the water or away from it.
On the water, the property has to read three ways — from the house, the yard, and a passing boat — so the light has to stay off the lake itself. Away from it, the homes range from sleek modern to stately traditional, built to entertain on large decks, walk-out basements, and pools. Each lot — the shoreline descent, the facade, the deck and the gardens — wants light designed to its own conditions.
Light TN runs each Hendersonville project the same way. Daryl Bentfield walks the property, you approve a photorealistic rendering before we dig, installation meets licensed contractor CE-D: 76580 standards, and we return after dark to aim every fixture. We bury wire trenchless so an established lakeside lawn or a new-build sod stays whole — the work behind more than 500 Middle Tennessee projects since 2020.
