Most outdoor lighting starts at the truck — fixtures pulled from a catalog and placed where they fit. We start at the drawing. Light TN is a design-first studio: we read your property after dark, design the system around its trees, beds, and grade, and render it so you can approve the result on your own home before any fixture is set. We are a family-owned studio working out of Burns, Tennessee, and we serve homeowners across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Anyone can place a light. Designing one means deciding what to reveal and what to leave dark — which tree becomes the focal point, where a path needs footing, how a facade should read against the night. We light in layers, shield the source below your sightline, and choose a warm color temperature so brick, bark, and stone look the way they do in daylight.
Because we design before we install, you see your property rendered at night and approve it on screen first. The plan is drawn to your landscape, not to a package — and the studio that drew it is the studio that builds it.

Owner & Lead Designer
Daryl is the founder of Light TN and the designer behind every system the studio installs. He walks each property after sunset before pencil ever meets paper — reading tree canopy, grade, sightlines, and the paths that need footing. Once the design is drawn and approved, Daryl leads the installation and returns after dark to aim and balance the final result.
He holds the studio's Tennessee electrical contractor license, CE-D: 76580, and has built Light TN around a single conviction: that good lighting is a design decision, not a product selection. When you book a consultation, Daryl is the person who shows up.

Gina is the voice that keeps the client relationship strong from first inquiry through the years after installation. She manages communications, coordinates scheduling, and makes sure every homeowner feels informed and cared for at every stage of the process.

Light TN operates from our design studio at 1982 Spencer Mill Road in Burns, Tennessee, providing professional landscape lighting design and installation throughout Nashville and the surrounding Middle Tennessee communities, including Franklin, Brentwood, Belle Meade, Green Hills, Nolensville, Spring Hill, Mount Juliet, Hendersonville, and the towns between them.
In February 2026, Light TN acquired P.M. Lighting Nashville, the longest operating local landscape lighting company in the Nashville market. The acquisition brought together decades of established client relationships and local lighting experience with Light TN's design focused approach, advanced planning, and commitment to long term system performance.
Working here shapes how we build. Middle Tennessee's heavy clay makes trenching across a finished lawn a scar that takes a season to heal, so we bury low-voltage wire without trenching and keep mature turf and beds intact. Knowing the ground, the tree species, and the way light reads on local stone is part of designing for this place rather than anywhere.
